Tell us which show you watched?The show I watched is 9-1-1 Lone Star.
Which actor and role did you analyze?The actor I analyzed is Owen Strand and the role is a leader.
Which leadership style is presented?The leadership style he presented is people centered leadership with a mix of democratic participative leadership but I think it’s leaning more towards a people centered leadership.
Correlate the leader’s behavior to formal concepts. Owen Strand is a fire fighter captain so it’s clear that he has to lead his team of firefighters on 9-1-1 calls and in my opinion I think he is a great leader. Through the course of the show it shows that he has traits that a leader should have such as being intelligent, being decisive, strength, bravery, integrity, and being confident. For example, there was a call Owen strand and his team of firefighters responded to and when they got to the scene Strand being the captain was able to think fast and be decisive about what he wanted each individual person on his team doing. Along with that he went into the burning building by himself to get someone else he demonstrated bravery I think that shows true character of a leader. Throughout the episode Owen Strand emphasizes interpersonal relations with the other firefighters they were like his family and they would hangout it was like a happy family and because of that it made the work environment seem more friendly, trusting, and supportive. This is why I picked Owen Strand I really loved how he demonstrated leadership and the type of personality he has.
